Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how QuickPartsDelivery ("QPD", "we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit quickpartsdelivery.com or place an order with us. By using the site, you agree to the practices described below.

What we collect

We collect the following information when you use the site:

Order information — your name, shipping address, email address, phone number (optional), the items you order, and total amount.
Payment information — credit card details are entered directly with our payment processor, Stripe. We never see or store your full card number; we only receive a token, the last four digits, the card brand, and the payment status.
Device and usage information — IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. This is logged by our web server (nginx) and used to operate the site, investigate abuse, and improve performance.
Cookies — we set a cookie called qpd_cart to remember the contents of your shopping cart between page loads. It expires after 90 days and contains only a random cart identifier. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
Account information (if you create an account) — your email address and authentication credentials.

How we use your information

To process and ship the orders you place.
To send transactional emails — order confirmations, shipping updates, delivery notifications, and replies to your support questions.
To detect and prevent fraud or abuse.
To comply with legal obligations, including tax reporting and responding to lawful requests.
To improve our products, site, and customer service.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your information with advertisers.

Who we share information with

We share information only with service providers we need to operate the business:

Stripe — processes your payment. See Stripe’s privacy policy.
Amazon— when fulfilled through Amazon’s Multi-Channel Fulfillment service, we share your shipping address and order items with Amazon so they can pack and ship your order.
Resend — sends your order confirmation and shipping emails on our behalf.
Shipping carriers (USPS, UPS, FedEx, etc.) — receive your name and shipping address to deliver your package.
Law enforcement — only when required by valid legal process (e.g., subpoena, court order).

How long we keep your information

Order records — kept for at least 7 years to comply with tax and accounting requirements.
Server logs — typically retained for 90 days, longer if investigating a security incident.
Account information — kept while your account is active, and for 30 days after account closure.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (California, EU, etc.) you may have the right to:

Access the personal information we hold about you.
Request correction of inaccurate information.
Request deletion of your information, subject to legal retention requirements.
Opt out of marketing emails (we don’t currently send any).
Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.

Children

Our site is intended for users 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use HTTPS for all site traffic, encrypt sensitive data at rest, and restrict access to customer data to a small number of staff. No system is 100% secure, however. If we ever experience a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you as required by law.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Effective" date at the top and, for material changes, notify customers by email or a prominent notice on the site.
